Full of some wonderful surprises, Week 6 introduced me to the wonderful world of soy, exposing me to making delicious dishes centered around tofu, tempeh and seitan, and presenting them “as art” on the plate. I would be remiss if I did not mention the wonderful afternoon I had visiting my alma mater: The Professional Children’s School, where I graduated High School in 19xx!!

Here I am standing in front of my High School locker! I was invited to come back to my alma mater, Professional Children’s School, to meet with the Head of Middle School, Dania Nauholnyk to discuss the prospect of me teaching another cooking class to PCS students, as well as an Alumni group. This past April, I had a fabulous time teaching an online Zoom cooking class with middle school students. They were engaged, interested in learning how to cook, and full of wonder. We had a wonderful time, and I’m looking forward to our next round of cooking adventures together.

Of course Dania whipped out the 1985 yearbook to “try and find me”. Here I am!

Tempeh vegetable kebabs were fabulous!!!

These tofu burgers were Da Bomb!!!!!!

Tempeh Scallopini was sumptuous!!

All 11 of us gave it a whirl to create a beautiful plate of art, with the same three dishes – all in our own unique way!
