Week 5 Food Network’s NYC Food and Wine Festival!

Accomplished Much! Sauces, Soups, Stews and Egg Dishes! The highlight was volunteering at the New York City Food and Wine Festival, sponsored by the Food Network and Cooking Channel. This event was a benefit, with all proceeds going to the NYC Food Bank.

Cilantro & pumpkin seed Pesto was so fresh, clean & tasty. So lucky to have a beautiful hydroponic garden to grab fresh edible flowers for finishing touches.

Delicious Mushroom sauce was deliciously rich & perfect over a roasted vegetables or grain dish!

Mise en place for Butternut Minestrone Soup

Butternut Minestrone Soup!

Traditional French omelette fold over using fresh chiffonade spinach, tomatoes & onions.

I had a blast working with celebrity Chef Mario Chape. I spent the day finishing dishes (Expo) serving his fans, and most importantly, raising money for the NYC food bank.
